It’s true ... CAE is at the forefront of open, standards-based database development
and dynamic synthetic environment initiatives.
We created the common database (CDB) – an open specification database
format supporting rapid, correlated database generation designed to significantly
enhance training and mission rehearsal. The CDB has become the standard for the
US Special Operations Command as well as other military forces, and will be put
into service on the MRH90 training systems CAE is developing for the Australian
Defence Forces (ADF). We partnered with the US Army to define and implement
their standard database architecture, which has helped improve speed and
efficiency. And we are working on developing a persistent and dynamic synthetic
environment – based on the CDB – that would represent a fundamental paradigm
shift in the use of simulation.
CAE’s innovation, technology leadership and culture of partnership all come together
in the creation of an open, standard virtual environment. As defence forces, such as
the ADF, look to expand the use of simulation and synthetic environments to support
analysis, training and decision-making, trust a company with the experience and
expertise to deliver world-class technologies, best value and low risk. Trust CAE to
be your partner.
CAE has the experience and expertise to develop fully integrated, interoperable, and standards-based synthetic environments for analysis, training,
and operational decision-making.
